Milestones - Activating, Creating and Editing

The Milestone feature is extremely useful for helping users stay ‘On Track’ with their Rocks throughout the quarter by setting due dates for various tasks (Milestones), that the owner needs to complete in order to achieve their ultimate 90 day goal. Milestones essentially break down your Rocks into smaller pieces with actionable due dates. To activate the Milestone feature for your Rocks, follow the steps below:

Activate Milestone Feature:

  1. Click L10 in the menu bar
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Advanced Settings, bottom left
  4. Click Rocks
  5. Click the drop-down arrow next to Rocks Format
  6. Select Milestones
  7. Click Save (at the bottom)
  8. You can now add Milestones during your L10 meeting, and right from your Workspace by clicking on your Rock. 

NOTE: A rock has to be attached to a Level 10 Meeting™ before milestones can be added. See here for more information on sharing/moving rocks amongst meetings.

NOTE: You can add Milestones to any of the Rocks in the meeting you activated the feature for. The Milestone feature has to be activated for each Level 10 Meeting™ individually. 

Create Milestones: 

From the Workspace:

  1. From a Rock workspace tile, click on the Rock title you’d like to add a Milestone to 
  2. A window will open showing the Rock title along with a notepad and the option to Add a milestone at the bottom right of the window
  3. Click Add
  • Enter the title of the Milestone
  • Enter a Due Date
  • Press OK
  • Continue to add as many Milestones as necessary to your Rock using the instructions above
  • When a Milestone has been completed, simply check the box next to it in your Milestone tile or when you click on the Rock from the Rock tile
  • Find your Milestone tile in the Add Tile drop-down, in the Personal section (see here for help adding tiles)

From the Manage Section

  1. Click L10 in the menu bar
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Rocks
  4. Click the title of a Rock
  5. Click Add at the bottom right of the pop up window

From Your L10 Meeting:

  1. In the Rock Review section of the meeting, click on the Rock title you want to add Milestones to
  2. Follow the same directions as above after clicking the Add Milestone button in the bottom right of the screen
  3. You can also update the due date, and delete a milestone by using the trash can icon to the right of your milestone. 

Note: Adding Milestones is unavailable in the 'Preview' meeting option.

Edit a Milestone: 

From Workspace:

Edit Milestone title and due date:

  1. Click on the appropriate Workspace Page in the top menu bar
  2. Click on your Milestone from the Milestone tile or Rock tile
  3. Edit title
  4. Click OK
  • You can update the due date of your Milestones in either the Milestone tile (click the drop-down arrow by your current due date) or by clicking on your Rock title from a Rock tile (click the current due date to pull up the calendar and select a new due date). 
  • When marking a Milestone as complete from the Milestone tile, it will be removed as the Milestone tile only lists current/outstanding Milestones

Delete a Milestone: 

  1. Click on the appropriate Workspace Page in the top menu bar
  2. Click on the Rock title
  3. Click the trashcan icon to the right of a Milestone to delete

From L10: 

  1. In the Rocks section of the meeting, click on the Rock title 
  2. Click the trashcan icon to the right of the Milestone to delete (bottom right)
  3. Click on the Milestone title
  4. From the pop up window, edit the Milestone title, update the due date or mark as complete
