Rocks - Creating, Archiving, Restoring, Sharing, Moving, and Changing the Owner of Rocks

Adding Rocks and marking as Company Rocks: 

  1. Click L10 in the menu bar
  2. Click Manage, to the right of your L10
  3. Select Rocks from the Agenda on the left
  4. Click on the orange plus [+] icon at the bottom of the screen
  5. Use the Add a Rock pop up to input your Rock title, select the owner and check the box 'Add to V/TO™' to mark as a company Rock. 
  6. Alternately, if you decide after Rock creation that a Rock should be marked as a company Rock, click the check box to the right of your Rock. This will mark it as a Company Rock and add it to your V/TO™.

From the Workspace:

  1. Click the plus button that is at the top right of a Rock tile (see this article for additional details about tiles: Workspace - Adding and Removing Tiles
  2. In the Add a Rock pop up, fill in basic information to create your new Rock (Name, Notes, Who's Accountable, Due Date, Attached to Meetings, and Milestones)

NOTE: Base users and supervisors can only create/archive rocks for themselves or their direct reports. If needed, a base user or supervisor can create a rock for themselves, then reassign it to the desired user. Alternatively, a base user or supervisor can reassign another user's rock to themselves, archive, and then reassign to the original owner. Uploading Multiple Rocks at One Time

If you have a list of Rocks, they can be uploaded all at once instead of adding them one at a time. See the above video.

Optional next steps

  • Add Milestones, notes or attachments to your Rock - from your Workspace or during a Level 10 Meeting™.
    • Click on the Rock title (on your Workspace) to add details
    • During your L10 meeting, click on a Rock. A notes panel will populate on the right - add notes and milestones here

Archiving Rocks:

  1. Click L10 in the menu bar
  2. Click Manage to the right of the L10
  3. Click Rocks
  4. Click the icon to the right of your Rock (box with the arrow icon pointing down)
  5. Your Rock will appear grayed out and is archived

NOTE: Base users and supervisors can only create/archive rocks for themselves or their direct reports. If needed, a base user or supervisor can create a rock for themselves, then reassign it to the desired user. Alternatively, a base user or supervisor can reassign another user's rock to themselves, archive, and then reassign to the original owner. NOTE: Newly archived Rocks appear grayed out to give you the opportunity to unarchive by clicking the archive button once more. Once you refresh, or leave the section and return, your grayed out (archived) Rock will not be on this list anymore. You can find it in the Meeting Archive. 

To View or Restore Archived Rocks, Follow the Steps Below:

  1. Click L10 in the top menu bar
  2. Click Manage to the right of the L10
  3. Click Meeting Archive
  4. Click Rocks along the top
  5. Choose a date range with the calendar icon in the top right corner, this is how you will find older items
  6. Select the date range using the left calendar as a starting date and the right calendar as an ending date. Click Apply (Or use one of the presets available)
  7. Your archived Rocks will populate
  8. Click on any Rock to view notes 
  9. To restore, click the icon to the right of your Rock (box with arrow pointing down) to un-archive the Rock. 

How to Share a Rock With Another Meeting

Share Through the L10 Area:

You may want to have the exact same Rock in more than one meeting. Sharing the Rock will update the Rock in real time in more than one meeting.

  1. Click L10 in the menu bar
  2. Click Manage to the right of the meeting
  3. Click Rocks on the left
  4. Click the orange +
  5. Click OR SELECT EXISTING (top right of window)
  6. Type in the title of the Rock or the owner's name to begin searching
  7. Click on the Rock in the drop-down to confirm your choice
  8. Click OK to complete addition

Sharing Through the Advanced Settings:

This method is helpful if moving a lot of Rocks over at once.

  1. Click L10 in the top menu bar
  2. Click Manage to the right of a L10
  3. Click Advanced Settings (bottom left)
  4. Click on Rocks (on the word)
  5. Move Rocks from the left column to the right column to move them into the meeting
  6. Click Save at the bottom

Tip: The double arrow will move all Rocks. The single arrow will only move the Rocks you have highlighted (Ctrl + Click to select a few rocks; Shift + Click to highlight a chunk). 

Tip: Use the filter to search for a Rock title or the owner's name. 

Note: The Rocks on the left are not part of your L10 meeting. The Rocks on the right are currently in your L10 meeting. You can also move Rocks out of the meeting by moving them from the right column to the left column. 

Sharing Through the Workspace

  1. Click the title of a Rock inside of a Rock tile
  2. Towards the bottom of the popup window, in the Attached to Meetings: area, type the name of the meeting you want to share the Rock into
  3. Choose from the list and click Ok

Changing a Rock owner outside of a meeting (Manage Meeting)

  1. Click L10 in the menu bar
  2. Click Manage to the right of the L10
  3. Click Rocks on the left
  4. Click on the icon of the current Rock owner (far left)
  5. Click in the drop-down menu and select a new owner
  6. Click the check-mark to confirm
  7. Owners icon/profile picture will update immediately

Changing a Rock owner outside of a meeting (Workspace)

  1. Click Workspace in the black banner
  2. Find your team Rock tile
  3. -or- add the team Rock tile from the Add Tile drop-down on the top left/in the orange banner
    • Hover over your L10 in the drop-down menu, and click Rocks in the menu that pops up to the right.
    • Find the newly added tile at the bottom left of your Workspace. Click, drag and drop to relocate. Grab the bottom right corner of the tile to re-size.
  4. Once you have Rock Tile, click the icon of the current owner of the Rock.
  5. Click in the drop-down menu to select a new owner.
  6. Click the check-mark to confirm
